Craftsmanship is the name of the game for John Eatherly and his cohorts in Public Access TV. A soaring gem of a throwback, In The Mirror hearkens back to a time when pop wasn’t a dirty word. The composition, production and performance (at their pitch perfect live shows) each serve to showcase the practised craft that few bands can ever hope to achieve on this layered, singalong triumph. It’s a song so nice I think John Peel would have played it twice. Simply one of the best songs by an American band in years, In The Mirror is one of a series of minor masterpieces by a band certain to be huge when they release their debut in 2016.
