One of the major cultural touchstones of the 90s, it’s no surprise that the Clueless soundtrack was a genre hopping who’s who of top acts.  Coolio, Radiohead, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Beastie Boys all make notable appearances.  Jill Sobule, previously unknown, had a huge hit with Supermodel.  Slightly more surprising is the inclusion of Supergrass’s Alright.  One of the tentpoles of Britpop, it’s one of the most brilliantly, timeless rock songs ever written.  Breezy, endlessly catchy and perfectly evocative of the unencumbered joys of youth, Supergrass don’t put a foot wrong in these three ebullient minutes.
