The Arrows may have written it, but Joan Jett made it. Sometimes you just need some heavy, dumb fun. I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll isn’t about how rock changed the world. It’s just about how rock led to a pretty great night, which I think most of us would take any day. With massive guitars, a shout along chorus and about the most committed handclaps you’re likely to hear, it’s also a surprisingly gender progressive flip on the original track. More importantly though, it’s a simple and solid enough to be a cross generational, cross genre crowd pleaser.
